Gate Card Entry Systems in Los Angeles and Orange Counties

The use of contactless cards is growing among businesses that need a convenient method of restricting site access to employees or other authorized personnel. There are two primary components in these systems: an electronic reader (typically installed next to a door it controls) and a proximity card (or contactless smartcard). When the card is held next to the reader, it triggers a release switch that allows the door to be opened. Gate proximity cards (also called gate card badges) often come in a durable “clamshell” design and can be easily stored inside a wallet like a credit card.
